I'm not usually the kind of guy who takes photos out of airplane windows, but this sunset over NYC as I took off from LaGuardia was renaissance landscape impressive-- and made it worth violating almost every FAA inflight rule to sneak my camera phone out of my pocket.
Even better in person. Even better actually about 30 seconds earlier as we were closer to the ground, and the rays of sunshine filtered through the canyons of the city-- while I was in the process of violating said FAA rules finding the camera!
